Most of the volunteer programs cost exorbitantly high to the volunteers aspiring to pursue their dreams. This, sadly, works to scare many potential volunteers away and prevents many needy people from getting the help the desperately need.
New Hope Volunteer Abroad was established to address this common experience. Based in Kathmandu, Nepal, New Hope has grown to become one of the leading and most affordable volunteer abroad programs. Since 1998, thousands of promising volunteers have participated with us in our programs across 19 countries.
As a minimalist lean organization, we have worked hard to make our programs more affordable and cost efficient than other volunteering organization. It has resulted into more productive volunteering. Besides, our volunteers pay directly to the host projects and derive satisfaction from knowing where their contributions go.

Because every single program is different from another, there is no one-size-fits-all price tag. However, a 4-week program in Costa Rica, for example, costs about $764 and covers meals, accommodation and program support and project coordination. The fees for the same kind of 4-week program with other US volunteer organizations would cost between $1060 and $4976.
While many organizations use a larger portion of project fees in staffing and administrative expenses, we stand different by allocating most part of the fee to the projects and host communities. We have adopted a model in order to maintain honesty and financial transparency. The volunteers pay a small fee upfront, and they pay the remaining large part directly to the projects and host families.
We have 7 destinations in Latin America, 5 destinations in Africa, and 7 destinations in Asia. We carry out projects in some of the most impoverished areas of the world that rightfully deserve volunteers’ help. Remarkably, the locations are also favorite travel destinations among the travelers passionate about trekking, travelling, and adventure.
