Street Children Project

volunteer in street children project in peru

Poverty and deprivation is widespread in Peru. Many children are homeless and live in the street, usually getting involved in petty crimes to sustain them. The children have arrived on the street through deprivation and neglect and have no future if they are to continue to live on the street. Our volunteers will help local organizations that are luring children away from harsh living condition of the streets. You’ll provide much needed assistance in several schools of street children and care homes. You’ll teach them, make sure they are well fed and clean and turn them into confident individuals.

What difference does this project make?

The project helps the children through various activities like counseling, teaching, providing care, guidance and love. Volunteers will actively participate in these activities and local staffs will and guide volunteers. Through volunteers help, many children will turn away from life on the street and study and plan for the future.

Highlights of the program

You will teach and help poor children who are being slowly turning away from life in the street. They’ll need to build up trust before they can overcome the fear of a stranger. Volunteers will teach them and care for them. You’ll also experience warm Peruvian hospitality in the process. In your free time, you can explore Peruvian rainforests and fascinating mountains.
