In Kenya, the rate of HIV/AIDS infection continues unabated. Because of the disease, families have been plunged into poverty as they lose their bread winner, and many children have been orphaned. There have been campaigns to stop the rate of infection but many have been unsuccessful as they’ve failed to use a holistic approach of change in lifestyle, with awareness programs and using the support of the celebrities to pound the airwaves. Our volunteers will be part of the team and campaign effectively to stop the march of the disease.
What difference does this project make?
The project is designed to reducing the rate of infection. Using awareness campaigns and many other messages targeted at the most vulnerable age group, volunteers will successfully campaign. As part of the project, volunteers will also take of people infected with HIV and try to lower the stigma attached to those who are HIV/AIDS positive.
