English is the official language of Ghana and it is very important for young children to learn the language. A good ability to read and write in English can mean securing seats in good universities and later good jobs. Although the local standard of English quite good in Ghana, the poor who have to learn the language in schools, since English isn’t native language, often find it hard to grasp the language. To make the matter worst, these schools the children of poor families attend are resource poor and can’t afford to hire well trained and experience teachers. Hence, our volunteers will help the children to improve their English skills. You’ll hold debates and discussions and also teach according to official curricular to make the children confident and capable of believing in them.
