Poverty and deprivation are widespread in Ecuador. Many children are homeless and live in orphanages that educate, clothe, house and feed them. The orphanages are the only place the orphaned children can turn to for help but the orphanages are well funded and lack enough manpower to properly care of the children. Our volunteers will join the staff to provide much needed assistance in the children. Our volunteers will help the children by teaching, caring and supporting them in the daily activities.
What difference does this project make?
Through the volunteers, the orphanages can take good care of the children. Our volunteers will teach English, an important subject for young children, as well give tuition in other subjects. Volunteers will also make sure the children are well fed, clean and actively participating in sports and other entertainments.
