The rainforest and the landscapes of Ecuador are not only spectacular, they are also very fragile and there aren’t enough manpower and funds to save them from destruction. There is incentive for the loggers but there doesn’t seem to be any incentive to save the trees. This myopic view has lead to destruction of pristine forests. But many efforts are now underway to change people’s attitudes. This is done through education, awareness and strict enforcement of environmental laws. Our volunteers will be part of the team are trying to implement this and they’ll work together with local people.
What difference does this project make?
Joining this project you will help Ecuador save its precious environment. Ranging from research to maintenance of existing facilities, volunteers can participate in many activities to preserve nature.
