There are many NGOs in Cambodia established over the last ten years to support and encourage positive changes. These organizations focus on improving citizens’ living conditions at grassroots level by conducting various developmental programs. We support such projects by providing resources which includes able manpower. Our volunteer’s contribution on these projects will inspire the locals to improve their socio-economic condition.
What difference does this project make?
This project helps Cambodia overcome poverty, depravity and deficiency caused by its dreadful past. Local communities are the ones that benefit directly from such projects. It inspires local people to contribute for the development of the country. Through this project, we intend to assist numerous local NGO’s in the sector of democracy, sustainable development and human rights. The project also aims to help people develop their skills and their ability to use their own resources and those of the community to resolve problems. The work also concerns with broader social issues such as poverty, income generation and domestic violence.

Volunteer’s duties vary according to the type of project selected. New Hope Volunteers customizes projects based on your experience and interest. Volunteers can also help create profitable activities for the poor and develop programs to maintain stability/sustainability in local communities.
Project location
Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia that is chaotic but somehow manages to be charismatic! It is a crossroads of Asia’s past and present, a city of extremes in poverty and chaos, but one that never fails to captivate. It is also known as the ‘Pearl of Asia’.
